It we had the task of designing a multi-purpose animal that could exploit many habitats. We would be hard pressed to improve upon the birds of the wetlands.Near Nalsarovar Padhar Religion are live. We can see that they are at home in water, land and ofcourse superb in the air. In places like the Nalsarovar and Thol lake they are seen in great numbers, the variety of shapes and sizes being simply amazing.  

 The best time to reach there is before Dawn as the lake is calm & calm & flock of birds waiting for their regular food. The water in the lake is only about five feet deep & the boatmen are friendly guides. The sizable lake comprises of several places of interest. You might find the original Gujarati Food in its simplest form & yet so yummy at of the bet(small islands between the lake).


   You can take a Horse Ride with numerous white & brown horses at the lake side.Migrating Bharwad shepherds populates the islands of the lake & on the banks are the Padhars, who are excellent folk dancers, artisans & boatmen. can hire country boats on the lake for bird viewing, & picnic at shacks the on the islands.                                                                                                            

The Beauty of the  Nature:
Nalsarovar are aviary has birds from home and abroad flying here to nest on its islands. There are about 300 species of birds. From December to the end of March tourists flock to, this 182 sq km lake with 360 islands to see the Pelicans, Flamingos, Various species of Ducks, White Cranes, Herons, Evomets, long-beaked curlews and other birds. At mornings and evenings, it is an added pleasure to watch the birds from boats.During full-moons and starry nights, the beauty of the lake robs the onlookers of their sleep.


·      It is easy to notice the sheer variety of color, pattern and a cacophony of sounds that these birds use for recognition and courtship. They can be seen using the same devices for threats and aggression as they vie with each other for nesting and feeding space. There just cannot be anyplace where one can see so much wildlife in a single day! A pair of binoculars and a person well versed in local bird life will surely make this one of the best outings.
                                                                                                                                                     
·            How To Go To Nalsarovar :

·         Gujarat has some outstanding places for viewing birds of the wetlands. Just 80 km. from Ahmadabad is Nalsarovar, and Thol wildlife Sanctuary is also just 40 km. from Ahmedabad.It is 10 km. from Jamnagar is Khijadia Bird Sanctuary. Within the Porbandar city itself is the Porbandar Bird Sanctuary. Padhar are great culture and more popular in Ras Garba in Navratri festival and also faith in the Zupadi maa .The sheer variety that can be seen at such places is rewarding by any standards. Here you will see kingfishers, egrets, darters, storks and cormorants spear or catch fish with their dagger shaped beaks. You will also get to see jacanas, moorhens, coots, grebes and ducks feeding mainly on plants, straining water from their specially designed beaks and keeping the food in. 

Nalsarovar is a seasonal lake spread over an area of 115 sp.km. It is known to harbor more than 250 species of birds. In winter the migratory birds descend on the Nal in their thousands. Visitors are ferried in small boats and to experience a sunrise or a sunset while gliding gently through the silent waters, with birds silhouetted in the golden orange glow will lift any sagging spirits.
